Cases being filed against the journalist community over raising voices on torture on Muslims

Lucknow: Cases are being filed against the journalist community in India over raising their voices over injustice, atrocities on Muslims.

According to the international media, the journalists are faced with dozens of cases recently for raising their voice on atrocities against Muslims.

Last week, a Muslim man was allegedly tortured in Uttar Pradesh.  The state officials tried to suppress the incident.

The journalists were threatened with dire consequences for writing about the brutal incident.

According to the international media, the journalist community in India is faced with strict state restrictions.

Police registered cases against two Muslim journalists as they had raised their voice in support of Muslims on social media platforms.

The police have registered cases against two Muslims journalists Wasim Akran Tyagi and Zakir Ali Tyagi.

Indian journalist taking with Al Jazeera tv apprised that there is no independence of journalism in India as a journalist we can’t even say murder over a murder of someone then what did we say?

He said that when journalist will not raise question then who will do this job and this is equal to strangulating the journalism.

Zakir Ali Tyagi said that he is writing on torture incidents on Muslims for a sometime and he has a perception that the state will register cases such like that.

Intimidation, threatening and registering of cases on journalist are old tactics of Modi government.

Kunnal Majumdar, a representative of a committee of protection of journalist in India said that the police attitude towards Zakir and Waseem are highly scary.
