Aamir Khan rewrites ‘Ek Din’ Climax for Son Junaid Khan’s Project

WEB DESK: Aamir Khan played an influential role in shaping the final moments of his son Junaid Khan’s upcoming film, Ek Din, with filmmaker Mansoor Khan revealing that the superstar personally rewrote the climax after raising concerns about its presentation.

In a recent interview, Mansoor shared that Aamir was not entirely satisfied with how the story was wrapping up and took it upon himself to revise the ending. “Aamir had doubts about the climax scene. He reworked it, and we all agreed his version was better,” Mansoor stated, highlighting the collaborative effort involved in the film’s production.

The project features Junaid Khan, making his Bollywood debut, alongside Sai Pallavi, who is debuting in Hindi cinema. The film is directed by Sunil Pandey and is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, in partnership with Mansoor Khan and Aparna Purohit.

Mansoor, who previously teamed up with Aamir on classics like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, mentioned that despite some creative disagreements during filming, they were resolved productively.

He recounted a particular instance involving a song shot in Japan, where Aamir suggested an alternative emotional tone. Mansoor initially chose to follow his own direction, but after seeing the final cut, Aamir agreed with his vision. Mansoor noted that such exchanges contributed positively to the film’s overall quality.

Ek Din, a remake of the 2016 Thai film One Day, is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
