ISLAMABAD: Pakistan, Bangladesh to take on each other in first T20I on May 28, Fast bowler Abbas Afridi has been added to Pakistan’s T20I squad in place of Mohammad Wasim Jr.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), All-rounder Mohammad Wasim Jr has been ruled out of the series due to a side strain injury sustained during the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Pakistan will host Bangladesh for a T20I series starting tomorrow in Lahore.Earlier, it was reported that Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Wasim Jr is doubtful for the upcoming T20 series against Bangladesh due to an injury.
Sources divulged on Tuesday, Wasim Jr sustained the injury during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has yet to fully recover. Medical staff have advised him to rest for a week, the sources added.
Furthermore, Wasim Jr is expected to undergo rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
