Islamabad (March 20, 2018): The accountability court on Tuesday reserved its verdict in a plea filed by Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif seeking clarity on what all can be submitted by the former Panama case probe team head Wajid Zia in the Avenfield properties case.
The court would announce verdict on the plea on March 22.

The request was made as the court resumed hearing the Avenfield properties reference against Nawaz, daughter Maryam and son-in-law MNA Capt (retd) Safdar.
Nawaz’s counsel Khwaja Haris objected to several of the documents submitted by Zia and sought clarity on what all Zia can present in court.
The Nawaz’s counsel said that the JIT comprise of three sections including documents, statements and analysis. He said that the investigative officer has no right to give his verdict on any case and it is the court that would decide on the matter.
The prosecution opposed the plea. The hearing was then adjourned until March 22.
