WEB DESK: Popular Pakistani actor Muneeb Butt made headlines after his sacrificial camel unexpectedly escaped, capturing widespread attention on social media.
A video shared across social media platforms shows the brightly decorated camel strolling calmly through a neighborhood, with children and young men nearby appearing alarmed and keeping their distance.
The clip, posted on Instagram, quickly went viral, drawing numerous reactions from viewers.
Actress Minal Khan also shared the footage on her Instagram story, tagging her sister Aiman Khan and Muneeb Butt, humorously commenting, “Your camel has gone viral.”
Later, Muneeb Butt addressed the incident via his own Instagram story, confirming, “Yes, this happened yesterday.”
He revealed that CCTV footage showed some children throwing small stones at the camel, which frightened it, caused it to break free from its rope, and run off.
Muneeb emphasized the importance of kindness toward animals, especially during Eid al-Adha, and urged parents to teach their children to treat sacrificial animals with respect and compassion.
Eid al-Adha in Pakistan is scheduled for Saturday, June 7.
