ISLAMABAD: Additional Attorney General Zahid Fakhruddin has resigned from his post.
Sources said that Additional Attorney General Zahid Fakhruddin has tendered resignation from his portfolio over sending of references to supreme judicial council against some judges.
Zahid Fakhruddin has sent his resignation to President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi.
He has said that he resigned from his position as the government has filed references against Supreme Court judges.
Fakhruddin said that he can’t compromise on dignity of the superior judiciary.
