Karachi: Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab has announced to resign from his post over protest on imposing KMC tax which will have to be collected through K-electric billing.
Citing his reason to resign, Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab said that we had decided to collect Rs 6.15 billion adding that he worked for one year for collection of taxes.
He said that former mayor Waseem Akhtar collected only Rs 5000 to 5050. He said that he committed a mistake of loving the KMC.
Murtaza Wahab apprised that he chose K-electric for collection for tax while he said that it is registered in law that Karachi Metropolitan Cooperation (KMC) can impose any tax.
The PPP leader said that some people wanted matters could not be improved adding that the KMS was providing relief and people are not seeing it.
The KMC which is stated to be without power and this same KMC worked under him adding that solution for everything is exist in the constitution and the law.
He said that he committed a mistake of loving the KMC.
He said that the parks which were closed in the past we are opening these parks adding that we constructed all the big roads in the city.
