RAWALPINDI: In a significant development, Saeedullah Saeed, a commander of the Afghan Taliban, has issued a stern warning to terrorists associated with Fitna Al Khwarij, cautioning them against engaging in attacks against Pakistan forces or conducting violence in the name of Jihad.
Addressing a passing-out parade of police officials, Saeedullah Saeed emphasized that, in accordance with the directives of the Afghan Taliban’s Ameer (leader), it is not legitimate to wage war against any foreign country, particularly Pakistan.
“Those who fight against foreign nations while joining different groups cannot be regarded as true Mujahideen,” he stated.
The commander clarified that the decision to declare Jihad resides solely with the Ameer of the Afghan state, and it is not within the authority of individuals or groups to unilaterally decide to wage Jihad.
“Visiting Pakistan to fight against its forces without permission from leadership is an act of disobedience,” he warned. Saeedullah Saeed further categorically stated that engaging in attacks for personal ego or based on associations with particular groups constitutes ‘Fasad’ (corruption/disturbance), not Jihad.
He also asserted that those conducting attacks in the name of Jihad are disobedient to Islamic Shariat and the directives of the Afghan Emirate.
Security analysts have interpreted Saeedullah Saeed’s statement as reinforcing Pakistan’s narrative concerning internal security threats. They suggest that the so-called ‘Jihad’ carried out by Fitna Al Khwarij, allegedly at the behest of Indian proxies and the Indian government, constitutes terrorism against the principles of Shariat, the Afghan state, and regional peace.
