Afghanistan decide to bat first after winning toss against Pakistan

SHARJAH: In the fourth match of the T20I tai-series at Sharjah cricket stadium on Tuesday, Afghanistan decide to bat first against Pakistan.

Pakistan and Afghanistan have clashed eight times in T20 Internationals, with Pakistan leading the head-to-head tally with five wins, while Afghanistan has secured three victories. In their only bilateral series this year, Afghanistan edged out Pakistan 2-1.

Going into this crucial fixture, the teams have contrasting recent performances. Pakistan has lost only once in their last five T20Is, whereas Afghanistan has recorded three wins in their last three matches. The sides previously met in the tournament opener on Friday, where Pakistan won convincingly by 39 runs.

In their latest outing, Pakistan posted a total of 182/7 in 20 overs, anchored by a quickfire half-century from their captain Salman Ali Agha. Agha’s innings included 36 balls, scoring 53 runs with three fours and three sixes.
