Islamabad: After the defense ministry, Sindh, Balochistan and Kyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) provincial governments have challenged the Supreme Court (SC) verdict against trials of civilians in the military courts.
The filed petition insisted the SC to annul the judgement stopping trials of civilians involved in attacking the military instalations.
The challenging petition adopted the view that the petitions on which the five-member bench of the SC given verdict were not maintainable.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defence has challenged the Supreme Court verdict against civilians trials in military courts.
The Defence Ministry also insisted the court to issue prohibition order in the stoppage of civilians trial in military courts until the judgment of its petition filed today.
The Ministry also argued the court to declare the court verdict against civilians trials in military courts null and void.
“The sections of the official secret act to be restored again.” the ministry also insisted the top court.
