Karachi: Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal has stressed upon the need for revival of the national drama and film industry at par with international standards.
He said this during a meeting with senior film and drama artists in Karachi on Monday.
He called for promoting an export-driven economy to make the national economy stable.
Ahsan Iqbal urged drama and film industry owners to join international forums and create content for the country and support the national economy.
He said that people associated with film and dramas are the cultural representatives of the country.
He said that there exist a lot of opportunities for economic progress in the country and all sectors including the film and drama industry can play its role in this regard.
The Planning Minister said that government-level policies have led to significant progress in sports and drama and film industry.
