Lahore (May 06, 2018): Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal was shifted to Services Hospital, Lahore for further treatment.
Sources said that a doctor’s panel comprised of senior physician will check up the interior minister and provide treatment to him.
After shifted to Services Hospital, Ahsan Iqbal thanked Allah and asked his well-wishers to remember him in their special prayers, in his tweet.

Strict security measures have been taken inside and outside the hospital. Heavy contingents of police were deployed outside the hospital.

Earlier, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal was shot at and injured after addressing a rally in Narowal’s tehsil Kanjrur here on Sunday.
According to the details, a suspect opened fire on the federal minister when he was sitting in his vehicle after addressing a public meeting in Shakargarh.

The assailant, aged between 20-22 years, shot at the interior minister on his right shoulder as he was sitting in his vehicle, confirmed DPO Imran Kishwar, adding that a pistol was also recovered from the man.
Iqbal was shifted to the hospital immediately after the incident. According to his cousin, Iqbal was out of danger. He was shifted to hospital where his condition is reportedly out of danger. Police sources said that two suspects were taken into custody from the scene.
Police said Iqbal sustained a bullet wound in his arm. He was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Narowal.
