Senator Aitzaz Ahsan of Peoples Party lashed out at Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for addressing public rallies instead of taking parliament into confidence over Panama leaks.
It neyond understanding piling up of so much assets despite paying zero income tax, he said while talking to media outside Lahore High Court. The prime minister is only cursing the opposition at the public meetings he is addressing, he added.
The Sharif family did not pay a single paisa tax in 1994and 1996 and yet has sugar mills running. Tens of millions of rupees did not flow out of the country in sacks and boxes, and there should be a forensic audit to investigate this, he added.
No one has ever been punished in corruption and other cases while legislation is needed to set terms of reference which the government should make along with the oppsotion, he added.
