WEB DESK: Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna narrowly escaped an accident on Monday night after their convoy was involved in a road mishap in Juhu near Silver Beach café around 9 pm.
A speeding Mercedes hit an auto rickshaw, pushing it into a vehicle from Akshay’s security convoy, which then collided with his SUV. The couple, traveling in a car ahead of the convoy, experienced only a minor impact and remained unharmed.
Witnesses reported the auto rickshaw was badly crushed, briefly trapping the driver and passenger. Akshay helped his team free them. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, and traffic resumed shortly after.
The couple had just returned from celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary abroad and were heading home from the airport.
