RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran khan’s sister Aleema khan has said that Imran khan planned to write another letter to Chief of Army Staff General (COAS) Syed Asim Munir next week.
Talking to media, Aleema Khan said that the PTI founder lauded the public response to the Swabi rally and expressed gratitude to the people of Punjab, despite the crackdown carried out against his supporters by the provincial government. He also extended his appreciation to the people of Sindh.
She further said that Khan urged Justice Yahya Afridi to uphold the rule of law while also calling on overseas Pakistanis to stand by democracy.
“I will face my legal cases and appear before these very judges,” Khan asserted.
Aleema Khan also stated that Khan ruled out any deal, clarifying that his letter to the army chief was not an attempt to negotiate but rather an effort to bridge the widening gap between the military and the public.
“The nation and the army must unite in the fight against terrorism,” Khan stressed, adding that he plans to write another letter next week.
