Karachi: An important development has been made in the investigation of the suicide car bomb attack at Chinese on Karachi airport as Sindh home minister Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar said that all the accused involved in the suicide car blast have been found out.
Holding a presser along with Inspector General (IG) Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, IG Counter Terrorism Department ( CTD) Asif Aijaz Shaikh and additional IG special branch Imran Yaqoob Minhas , the home minister Sindh showed arrest of two accused involved in Karachi airport suicide car blast while arrested persons included a man and a woman.
The duo have accused of transferring explosive laden vehicle to Karachi from Balochistan and passing on information regarding Chinese convoy arrival out of the airport to the suicide bomber.
Home Minister Sindh Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar has said that other accused involved in the suicide blast will be arrested soon.
Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar apprised that a rickshaw driver, a bank employee were also among the facilitators.
Whereas the car used in the suicide blast was bought from a showroom in Karachi and an amount Rs 7.1 million the payment was paid through a bank, he said.
At the time of purchase two facilitators Farhan and Muhammad Sharif were present along with suicide bomber Shah Fahad, he apprised.
He said that the vehicle was transferred to Hub and then it was returned to Karachi after filling it with explosives while the explosive laden in the vehicle was of 30 to 40 Kg.
To make car protected a woman was used who at a time of exit and entrance from Karachi to Balochistan was sited at the front seat which has been arrested.
He informed that a vital facilitator of the suicide blast at the Chinese convoy was also arrested. The man kept himself in the air port conducted complete recce of air port and its surrounding and passed on the information of Chinese convoy coming out of the airport to the suicide bomber.
A facilitator Javed, who standing at the first floor of the airport was provided all the information to the suicide bomber.
The home minister said that all the characters involved in the Chinese convoy suicide attack have been exposed.
Banned out fit Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has taken responsibility of the attack. The man named Gul Rehman was operating the BLA activities while his vital responsible person Sherzeb is in abroad.
He apprised that a character named Roshnay has surfaced and further information regarding him are being colleted.
This character will also be arrested, he said.
