Karachi: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) Senior leader Dr Farooq Sattar demanded to allow Karachites making a separate administrative unit as the Sindh government has attitude like step mother.
Addressing a presser today at Korangi office of the party, Dr Farooq Sattar said that the citizens of Karachi are in constant fear over ever increasing crimes, robberies and owing to the provincial government incompetence.
The MQM-P senior leader said that in Korangi alone dozens of crimes reported in Korangi during last month while robbers also martyred children but the Sindh government and police are behaving like silent spectator.
He said that due to faulty performance of the police, people are severely unsecured.
Victims family waited for hours for lodging of an FIR and mismanagement is everywhere, he said.
Tell us clearly, is Karachi part of Sindh or not? he questioned adding that if such attitude continued then let us allow take control of our administrative system.
He said that the infrastructure of Karachi has completely destroyed and the city is being deliberately neglected.
He invited Chief Minister Sindh to visit Karachi with him and see people conditions with his own eyes.
Dr Farooq Sattar said that the MQM-P never ever talk of separation from Sindh but your behavior has compelled the people of city to raise this question.
He also blasted on the Pakistan People’s Party and Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab adding that no concentration is being given on the people problems.
He further said that the police personnel brought from interior Sindh are extorting money from the citizens of Karachi.
He alleged that merit is being killed by passing students of interior Sindh forcefully.
