Peshawar(July 19, 2018): Leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Amir Muqam has asked for more time to appear before the National Accountability Bureau.

The bureau has accused Muqam of purchasing properties in Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar. According to NAB, the accused also purchased agricultural land in Swat, Shangla, and Peshawar.

Muqam was first summoned to appear before NAB on July 12, however, he remained absent. The bureau then summoned him for the second time today. The PML-N leader informed the anti-graft body that he was unable to appear before it due to his engagements pertaining to his election campaign, sources within the bureau told.

The provincial president of PML-N due to contest the polls from for PK-4 Swat — is accused of owning assets beyond means.

Helicopter Case: Imran Excuses To Appear Before NAB

Earlier on Wednesday, Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Imran Khan excused from appearing before NAB in Helicopter Scandal.

According to the details, the junior advocate of Babar Awan submitted the plea in the NAB on behalf of Imran Khan, stating that he is busy in the election campaign.

A new date should be fixed for the recording of statement after general elections, said Imran in the statement.

Imran Khan is accused of illegally using the KP helicopters for 74 hours that caused loss of Rs. 2107181 to the national exchequer.

The NAB Bureau will inquire Imran Khan of unlawfully using the government helicopter.
