KARACHI: Pakistan Prominent businessman and dedicated philanthropist Anosh Ahmed has made a significant contribution to alleviating Karachi’s ongoing water crisis.Through his charitable foundation, two submersible water pumps have been installed in underserved parts of the city, providing vital access to clean water for nearly 200 residents daily. This project, valued at PKR 650,000, is a heartfelt tribute to his late father, serving as a lasting memorial and a commitment to community well-being.

The second pump was placed in Al-Madina Colony, Sector 11, Orangi Town a Muslim-majority area where municipal water is available only briefly once a month. Many families here spend around PKR 1,500 monthly to buy water, a significant expense for low-income households. With the new pump, residents now enjoy daily access to clean water, reducing their monthly costs and enhancing household routines. Community members expressed gratitude, noting the immediate relief and renewed hope the project has brought.
