Karachi: Another week started with devaluation of rupees today (Monday) as the US dollar appreciated today (Monday) by Rs 1. 64 in the inter-bank market and closed at 229. 82.
On the other hand an uptick of Rs 1.50 reported in the greenback in the open market and it closed at Rs 236.

On Friday, the last day of the previous week, the dollar had closed at Rs 234.
