LAHORE: Smog guns have achieved a remarkable 70% reduction in air pollution in Lahore, as reported by the Environment Department.
Details revealed on Saturday indicate that the trial was conducted in the Kahna area, where the Air Quality Index (AQI) significantly dropped from 666 to 170. This improvement was confirmed through a modern scientific environmental monitoring system.
The first formal deployment of anti-smog guns in Kahna yielded impressive results, with noticeable enhancements in air quality observed within minutes of operation.
The Punjab Environment Department praised the effectiveness of the smog guns, highlighting their substantial impact on curbing pollution levels and improving the region’s air quality.
Recognition was extended to the Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Environmental Protection Force for their dedicated efforts, which were commended for contributing to this success.
