Islamabad: Federal Apex Committee of the National Action Plan approved a comprehensive military operation against terrorist organizations in Balochistan.
According to the announcement, PM Shahbaz Sharif chaired the Apex Committee of the National Action Plan, In which Federal Cabinet Members and other Ministers were participated.
COAS General Asim Muneer and other senior government officers were also present in the meeting.
The agenda of the meeting is to reactivate Pakistan’s anti-terrorism campaign.
A comprehensive military operation is set to commence in Balochistan targeting terrorist organizations such as the Majeed Brigade, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), and Baloch Republican Army (BRAS), according to an official press release.
The operation aims to dismantle these groups, which have been involved in various acts of terrorism and insurgency within the region. Military forces will focus on neutralising threats, restoring peace, and securing the stability of Balochistan.
These groups have been targeting so many innocents, Recently the latest deadly suicide explosion claiming at least 27 lives and left over 60 others injured at Quetta’s railway station earlier this month.
The operation aims to eliminate these threats and restore peace in the region.
In a high-level security briefing , experts and officials discussed the evolving landscape of global security, highlighting the complex challenges involved in countering terrorism.
The session covered a range of issues including the rise of religious extremism, sub-nationalist movements, and the increasingly blurred lines between crime and terrorism.
