Srinagar: On the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, thousands of Kashmiris have been subjected to the global crime over the last thirty four years in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, according to Kashmir Media Service,
Being the most militarized zone in the world, at least 8,000 innocent civilians have vanished in custody of Indian forces since 1989 in the occupied territory.
Kashmiris have been witnessing killings, enforced disappearances, torture, rape and other brutalities by the Indian forces since then and this orgy of death and destruction has intensified after India revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir on 5 August 2019.
Meanwhile, APHC leaders and several other organizations in their statements expressed solidarity with the families of the enforced disappeared persons. They appealed to the international community to play its role in tracing the whereabouts of the thousands of Kashmiris subjected to custodial disappearance.
On other hand more posters have appeared in different areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir urging the people to conduct a march in Srinagar on Friday to pay tribute to the veteran Kashmiri leader, Syed Ali Gilani, on his 2nd martyrdom anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called for a march towards the Hyderpora graveyard where Syed Ali Gilani is buried. All pro-freedom organizations have supported the call.
