Oscar wining music composer AR Rahman and his wife Saira Banu have separated their ways after 29 years of marriage.
Rahman and his kids expressed their sadness on this sad sound news.
In a joint statement issued late Tuesday night through Saira’s lawyer Vandana Shah, the couple explained that their decision followed years of emotional strain in their relationship. Mentioning that though they harbour deep love for each other, the couple acknowledged that ongoing tensions had created a gap too vast to bridge at this time.

Early on Wednesday morning, Rahman took to social media sharing his thoughts,
“We had hoped to reach the grand thirty, but all things, it seems, carry an unseen end. Even the throne of God might tremble at the weight of broken hearts. Yet, in this shattering, we seek meaning, though the pieces may not find their place again”.
He wrote,
“To our friends, thank you for your kindness and for respecting our privacy as we walk through this fragile chapter”.
Couple got married in 1995, and have three kids.
