Chennai: Famed composer AR Rahman was admitted to a private hospital on Greams Road in Chennai early Sunday morning after experiencing chest pain, sources confirmed.
The Oscar-winning musician, 57, was rushed to the hospital around 7:30 am, where a series of medical tests, including an ECG and echocardiogram, were conducted to assess his condition.
Sources close to the hospital indicated that he may undergo an angiogram, though no official statement has been issued regarding his health status. A team of specialists is attending to him..
On the professional front, Rahman has been active with multiple projects across various languages. This year, he composed for the Tamil film Kadhalikka Neramillai and the upcoming Chhaava.
