RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Raheel Sharif chaired a high-level meeting in GHQ Rawalpindi, which was attended by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Sartaj Aziz and other political and military leadership.
According to details, COAS Raheel Sharif chaired a meeting of political and military leadership in GHQ Rawalpindi, which was attended by DG ISI including senior political and military leadership. According to ISPR, the meeting reviewed over different matters including national security situation, Pakistan Afghanistan border matters and return of Afghan refugees to Afghanistan.
According to ISPR spokesperson, the meeting expressed satisfaction over successes of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, while the meeting also decided to accelerate operation against anti-state agencies and their facilitators. Military and political leadership also expressed concerns over US drone attack in Baluchistan, saying that drone attack has affected on mutual trust, while four-nation Afghan peace process was also affected due to drone strike. Hence, the meeting decided to fully retaliate any external negative act.
