Arshad Nadeem wins gold with 86.40m Javelin throw at Asian Athletics Championship

GUMI: Arshad Nadeem has once again demonstrated his dominance in Asian athletics by winning gold at the Asian Athletics Championship with an impressive javelin throw of 86.40 meters in the men’s final.

In the Asian Athletics Final, Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem delivered an outstanding performance by winning the gold medal. He threw 86.40 meters in his final attempt and secured the gold medal.

His consistent performance throughout the event, capped by this remarkable throw, secured him the top spot on the podium.

Second place went to India’s Sachin Yadav, who achieved a throw of 85.16 meters. Japan’s Shakiama secured third position with a throw of 83.75 meters.

Arshad Nadeem’s victory has sparked celebrations in his hometown of Mian Channu. Family members and local residents are expressing their joy and are proud of his achievement in sports, considering it a matter of national pride for Pakistan.

Nadeem made history at the 2024 Paris Olympics by winning Pakistan’s first-ever athletics gold with a record-breaking javelin throw of 92.97 meters. His throw not only set a new Olympic and Asian record but also ended Pakistan’s 32-year Olympic medal drought.
