ASF Recovers 1kg Heroin from Passenger Going to Bahrain

Islamabad (June 22, 2017): The Airport Security Force (ASF) on Thursday seized one kilogram ice heroin from the luggage of a passenger travelling to Bahrain at Benazir Bhutto International Airport.

According to the ASF, the contraband was recovered from the luggage of the passenger during security search.

The passenger was going to Bahrain in a private airline flight from Islamabad airport. The passenger, who was identified as Saeed Shah, is a resident of Mardan.

The accused was later handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).

The incident comes as several cases have emerged of narcotics being recovered from flights originating from Pakistan.

Yesterday, ASF recovered two KG heroin from a passenger going to Jeddah from Islamabad airport.

Following the recovery, the ASF arrested the accused. The accused was identified as Tasleem Khan. The accused was going to Saudi Arabia in a private airline flight PA-270.

Last month, 20kg of heroin were recovered from a PIA London-bound flight before it departed from Islamabad Airport.
