Day of Ashura is being observed today with due solemnity and sanctity to pay homage to the sacrifices of Hazrat Hussain Razi Allah-ho Tala Anho and his companions in Karbala. The Ulema and Zakireen will highlight the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain and various aspects of Karbla tragedy.
Alam, Zuljinah and Taazia processions will be taken out in all small and big cities and towns across the country. Mobile phone service also remain suspended in many cities of the country.
Strict security measures have been made along the routes of processions to avoid any untoward incident along these designated routes.
In Karachi the central 10th Muharram procession has come out Nishtar Park. It wil terminate at Iranian Hussianian Kharadar. Six-thousands police personnel and 2,000 Rangers will perform the security duty with troops of Pak Army on stand-by. The central procession is being watched from the air while security agencies are also using drone cameras.
In Lhore the central procession has come out from Nisar Haveli and its on way along the designated route. The central Shibiah al Jinnah procession will culminate in the evening at Karbala Gamyshah.
In Rawlpindi the central procession came out of imambargah Ashiq Hussain at 10 a.m. and it will terminate at imambargah Qadimi. Over 6,000 policemen are deputed for security while Rangers and soldiers of Pak Army are also been posted to help the police.
In Quetta the central procession has come out from imambargah Mominabad Alamdar Road at which it also will terminate where majlis-eSham-e-Ghraiban will be held after Maghrib prayer.
Nearly one hundred twenty one small and big processions will be taken out in Peshawar and other cities of the province and FATA on Wednesday.
In Mirpur, main Zuljinnah and Tazia procession will be taken out from central Imambargah Sa’adat colony.
