ISLAMABAD: A powerful explosion near a police vehicle in the Paniala area close to Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday claimed the lives of three police personnel, including ASI Gul Alam.
The tragic incident has drawn widespread condemnation from the federal government, as security forces immediately initiated a response.
Police officials reported that the blast occurred near a patrolling vehicle, causing extensive damage and leading to the martyrdom of ASI Gul Alam, Constable Rafiq, and Constable Sakhi Jan.
Law enforcement quickly sealed off the area, deploying a large contingent of police and rescue teams to the scene. Authorities have started gathering evidence as part of an ongoing investigation and are linking the attack to militant groups.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi denounced the attack, attributing it to Fitna-ul-Khawarij. He offered heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyred officers.
