Dubai: There has been a positive development in the deadlock over the change of match referee in the Asia Cup that the Pakistan cricket team will play the match against the UAE after receiving the green signal from the PCB.
The match between Pakistan and UAE was to be played at the Dubai Stadium today at 7: 30 pm Pakistani time. However, the match was delayed due to a deadlock over the change of match referee.It was feared that Pakistan would boycott the Asia Cup due to the match referee controversy
However, now after getting the green signal from the Pakistan Cricket Board, Pakistan will play the match against the UAE. However, the match has now been moved forward by an hour and will now be played at 8: 30 pm.
According to sources, Andy Pycroft will be the match referee in today’s match between Pakistan and UAE.
The PCB chairman issued a statement saying that the Pakistani team has been asked to go to the stadium. After which the Pakistan cricket team boarded the bus and left for the stadium.
