Nawabshah (August 23, 2018): Co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party, Asif Zardari had a meeting with their presidential candidate, Aitzaz Ahsan, where they discussed presidential elections and other major political matters.
According to sources, PPPs senior leader, Aitzaz Ahsan reached Nawabshah from lahore, via special airplane, and met Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of PPP.
Sources said that major political matters including presidential elections were discussed in the meeting. Khursheed Shah and Qamar Zaman Kaira were also present in the meeting.

Earlier, on August 19, Pakistan Peoples Party nominated Aitzaz Ahsan as its presidential candidate. The party chairman and co-chairman, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari, nominated Ahsan from the president’s slot.

On the other hand, PTI Chairman and newly elected Prime Minister Imran Khan nominated Arif Alvi for President of Pakistan.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry confirmed through social media that PTI Chairman and newly elected Prime Minister Imran Khan nominated Arif Alvi for President of Pakistan. Alvi emerged victor from NA-247, Karachi constituency during the July 25 polls.
Incumbent President Mamnoon Hussain’s tenure ends on September 9.
