Lahore: The government allied parties joint candidate for the presidential elections Asif Zardari has also gotten victory in Punjab Assembly as he secured 246 votes.
On the other hand, the opposition Sunni Ittehad Coucil (SIC) candidate Mahmood Khan Achakzai has gotten 100 votes.
Whereas six votes were rejected.
Total 352 MPAs cast their votes in the Punjab Assembly.
