Astronomers forecast dates for Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr in Pakistan

Islamabad: Astronomers have provided insights into the potential dates for Ramadan and the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr in Pakistan.

Ramadan

The sighting of the moon for Ramadan is anticipated to occur either on February 28 (Friday) or March 1 (Saturday).

As per these predictions, Ramadan is expected to commence on either March 1 (Saturday) or March 2 (Sunday).

Eid-ul-Fitr

Turning our attention to Eid-ul-Fitr, it is forecast that the moon will likely be visible on March 29 (Saturday) or March 30 (Sunday).

Consequently, Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be celebrated in Pakistan on March 30 (Sunday) or March 31 (Monday).

It is important to note that the official announcement regarding the dates of Ramadan and Eid will be made by the Central Sighting of the Crescent Committee, which oversees the lunar sighting across the country.
