Gaza: At least 50 people killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza today, the medical sources said.
A family of 10 has been reported martyred in an Israeli attack on a Khan Younis home this morning.
Gaza’s civil defence agency said Friday that 15 people had been killed in two overnight Israeli strikes.
Civil defence spokesman Mahmud Bassal said on Telegram that “our crews recovered the bodies of 10 martyrs and a large number of wounded from the house of the Baraka family and the neighbouring houses targeted by the Israeli occupation forces in the Bani Suhaila area east of Khan Yunis,” in the southern Gaza Strip.
Bassal later announced that a separate strike hit two houses in northern Gaza’s Tal al-Zaatar, where crews had “recovered the bodies of five people”.
On the other hand, Israeli airstrike claimed four lives in Jabalia, a four civilians have been killed and many wounded when Israel bombed a home in Jabalia, northern Gaza,
In a separate incident, one person was killed by Israeli gunfire in the Qizan Raswan area, south of Khan Younis, in the south.
A group of 12 aid agencies say Gaza is “one of the worst humanitarian failures of our generation”.
Gaza’s Health Ministry says at least 51,065 Palestinians have been confirmed dead and 116,505 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza since it began 18 months ago.
The Gaza Government Media Office updated its death toll to more than 61,700, saying thousands of people missing under the rubble are presumed dead.
At least 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, attacks, and more than 200 were taken captive.
