Lahore: As many as six people were killed including a woman and three children while 19 others sustained injuries in the heavy rains lashed yesterday, Thursday in Punjab.
The Punjab government has announced financial aid to the deceased and injured persons.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has expressed her sorrow and grief over deaths in the province owing the heavy downpours.
She also expressed solidarity and condolence with the affected people of the showers.
On the other hand, President Asif Zardari has expressed grief over human and financial loss.
The President has directed to speed up rescue service for the affected people.
