Islamabad (July 6, 2017) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday heard the case of attack on the then Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Asmatullah Junejo during the 2014 sit-in in the federal capital against Imran Khan, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and others.
The PTI chief, who among other has been declared as proclaimed offender in the case, could not be produced today.

PML-N Leader Danyal Aziz was also present in the court on Thursday. He added that there was no progress in the case as it was pending for last three years. He pleaded the court to direct the Rangers to produce Imran Khan by arresting him.
The PML-N leader also pleaded the court to constitute joint investigation team (JIT) to investigate Imran and other in the case. The judge asked Danyal to filed an application for constitution of JIT so that the court will look into it.
The court was told that Policeman Qasim statement was to be recorded in the case. The judge remarked that the case would be disposed soon after recording the statements of the witnesses.
Imran Khan, Dr Qadri and many others were booked for their alleged involvement in an attack on the then Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Asmatullah Junejo during the 2014 sit-in in the federal capital. The SSP was brutally beaten up by the protesters on Constitution Avenue on September 1, 2014.
