Islamabad: An anti-terrorism court of Islamabad on Monday (today) approved a bail plea after arrest of senior journalist Mohsin Jameel Baig on surety bonds of Rs 0.5 million.
The anti-terrorism court judge Muhammad Ali Warraich heard the bail plea of the senior journalist.
Lateef Khosa appeared before the court as counsel of the journalist while the court reserved the verdict after hearing arguments of the both the sides.
Later, the court announced the reserve verdict and approved the bail after the arrest of Mohsin Jamil Baig.
Over a complaint of federal minister for communication Murad Saeed, the Islamabad police had raided the house of the journalist and arrested him over using inappropriate allegation on the minister in a political talk show on a private news channel.
The journalist resisted his arrest and shot fire on the police.
