LAHORE: Usman, a former Indian citizen, is now holding Afghan nationality. He was arrested after the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Lahore launched an investigation in 2024. Authorities revealed that Usman had crossed into Pakistan through Chaman, using Afghan identification documents.
During his arrest, explosives were seized, which further corroborated his connection to terrorism. Based on the evidence provided, the ATC sentenced him to two decades in prison for his role in terrorism-related offenses.
The prosecution highlighted that Usman, once a citizen of India and alleged spy, had acquired Afghan nationality. His illegal entry into Pakistan and possession of explosives raised significant national security concerns, leading to a swift legal process and conviction under anti-terrorism laws.
