RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has directed the seizure of Aleema Khan’s bail bonds in a case related to the November 26 protest.
During the hearing, the ATC judge reviewed the case filed against Aleema Khan and 11 other individuals tied to the protest. Neither Aleema Khan nor her legal representatives were present in court.
As a result, the court issued bailable arrest warrants and initiated proceedings for the cancellation of her bail. A contempt of court notice was also served.
The prosecution urged the court to confiscate her bail bonds, highlighting that she had committed to attending all hearings but failed to do so.
The court approved the request and ordered the forfeiture of two bail bonds, each valued at Rs1 million.
The case has been adjourned until December 15.
