Attacks Over Ikram Gandapur, Akram Durrani Condemned

Web Desk (July 22, 2018): Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Imran Khan has strongly condemned attack over party candidate, Ikramul Khan Gandapur.

In a tweet message, PTI Chairman Strongly condemned the attack and termed it as a cowardly act, Khan also prayed for the early recovery of the injured in the attack.

On the other hand, Chairman PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-Chairman of the PPP also strongly condemned the attacks over MMA’s Akram Durrani and PTI’s Ikramul Gandapur.

Both demanded of the caretaker government to provide security to the candidates, who are contesting elections and immediate arrest of the attackers.

Earlier today, Shots were fired at the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl’s (JUI-F) candidate Akram Khan Durrani’s vehicle.

Durrani was en route to an election meeting in Basia Khel when shots were fired at his vehicle. Police said the suspects escaped after the attack, adding that no one was injured in the incident.

Durrani is contesting the July 25 election on a  Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal ticket against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.

On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s candidate Sardar Ikramullah Gandapur was also attacked in targetted blast near his vehicle in DI Khan’s Tehsil Kalachi.

Ikramullah has been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, DI Khan for treatment, the district police officer said.

“Ikramullah’s guard and driver have also been injured in the attack,” the DPO added.

The former agriculture minister in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is contesting the July 25 polls from PK-99, Kalachi.

Ikramullah’s brother, Israrullah Gandapur, was killed in a suicide bombing in 2013 in Kalachi.
