ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday appointed Marrriyum Aurangzeb as State Minister for Information and Broadcasting.
It is to be mentioned here that the Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid was removed last Saturday for ‘lapses on his part’ regarding the national security committee leak.
Marriyum Aurangzeb is a PML-N MNA, who is currently heading the National Parliamentary Taskforce on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). She is also Member of NA’s Standing Committee on Climate Change Division, Standing Committee on Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage.
