Karachi: Federal Minister for Power Division Awais Ahamd Khan Leghari met with Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah here Thursday at the Sindh House.
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and Provincial Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah also participated in the meeting.
In the meeting, the CM Sindh raised the issue of undeclared load shedding across Sindh, including Karachi.
The Chief Minister of Sindh expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of HESCO and SEPCO, subsidiaries of the Federal Ministry of Energy, stating, “The poor people are worried about load shedding; they cannot bear the incompetence of HESCO and SEPCO.”
In the meeting, the Federal Energy Minister raised the issues of line losses and non-payment.
The provincial government is ready to provide all possible help to the federal government, the CM Sindh ensured.
Committees will be formed at the provincial and district levels, which will help in solving the problems of WAPDA and consumers, as agreed upon in the meeting.
During the meeting they agreed to cooperate in the prevention of electricity theft, said a statement.
The Sindh Chief Minister assured full cooperation in the ongoing campaign against electricity pilferage.
