Ayesha Ghous Pasha declares IMF mission chief statement intervention in country’s affairs.

Islamabad: State Minister for Finance Ayesha Ghous Pasha has declared International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission chief to Pakistan Nathan Porter statement intervention in the country’s affair.

The State Minister for Finance said that Nathan Porter statement is extraordinary. while she added that the delay in loan program are not in favour of Pakistan and IMF interests.

Ayesha Ghouspasha said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ensured fulfillment of conditions.

She expressed hope that the staff level agreement will be brokered before the Budget.

It is pertinent to mention here that the government has announced to present budget on June 9.

Yesterday, the mission chief of the the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Nathan Porter has said that Pak-IMF program not ended now adding that he is constantly in touch with Pakistani officials.

The IMF mission chief said that he is trying efforts to hold board meeting in June while the focus will be on the budget in negotiations with Pakistan.

Nathan Porter said that an uptick in tax-net and decreasing of losses of national companies are very important.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had directed yesterday Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar to make the upcoming budget in coordination with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The premier has also sought help from the international lender to complete 9the review.

On the other hand, Pakistan has shared the budget suggestions with the IMF.
