MUZAFFARABAD: Mazhar Saeed Shah, the Information Minister of Azad Kashmir, has stepped down from his role.

The announcement came during a press conference in Muzaffarabad, where Shah addressed the media and cited “unavoidable reasons” for his decision. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the journalists and staff of the Information Ministry for their cooperation throughout his tenure.

Shah stated that his resignation was driven by personal matters and acknowledged the support he received from both the press and ministry staff during his time in office.

Reflecting on his contributions, Shah outlined key accomplishments during his tenure. Notably, he mentioned the success of initiatives like Operation Bunyanun Marsoos, asserting that the administration had managed to tackle complex challenges successfully. He emphasized that his work consistently prioritized national concerns and public welfare.

He also highlighted his role in bringing the Kashmir issue to global attention, recalling efforts to shed light on the struggles of Kashmir along with those of Gaza at gatherings attended by representatives from 45 countries.

Shah’s resignation has led to speculation about potential changes in Azad Kashmir’s political dynamics. It remains uncertain who will be appointed as the next Information Minister.
