WEB DESK: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has explicitly stated that his country will not send military forces to the Gaza Strip under any peacekeeping initiatives.
During a televised interview, President Aliyev made it clear that Azerbaijan has no plans to deploy troops outside its borders, including in connection with international efforts to bring stability to Gaza.
He reiterated that Azerbaijan is not contemplating participation in any military operations beyond its national territory.
Additionally, President Aliyev revealed that Azerbaijan has been in contact with the U.S. government regarding this issue. He noted that the country had forwarded Washington a comprehensive list of more than 20 questions concerning the procedures and logistics of any such potential missions.
