Azhar Ali Announces Retirement From International Cricket

Karachi: Pakistan senior cricket player Azhar Ali has announced retirement from the international cricket.

Addressing a presser in Karachi today, Azhar Ali said that it was an honour for him to represent Pakistan in the internatioanl cricket.

The right hander batsman will play his farewell test in Karachi against England which is going to start from tomorrow (Saturday).

The player had debut in 2010 against England during a test match in Lords and coincidentally he will play his last match against England as well.

He scored 7,097 runs with a good average of 42 in 96 tests matches, which included 19 centuries and 35 half centuries while 302 runs remained his best score.

His bat bombarded 1845 runs having three centuries and 12 half centuries in one day internationals (ODI).

Azhar Ali also remained captain of Pakistan team for nine tests and 31 ODIs.
