Aziz urges Ghani to avoid hurling accusations on Pakistan

Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz has rejected all accusations of Afghanistan adding that  instead allegations positive steps should be taken and Pakistan is ready to extend every kind of cooperation for lasting peace in Afghanistan.

Addressing the heart of the Asia conference the advisor said that security situation in Afghanistan is very complex and talks between Afghan government and Taliban could not be brought results as yet.

The advisor suggested the Afghan president to avoid hurling accusations on Pakistan and stressed for talking positive measures.

He says peaceful resolution to all the longstanding issues is the only way forward for regional cooperation and connectivity.

Aziz said that Pakistan supports Quadrilateral Coordination Group on Afghanistan,  he stressed the need for evolving a joint and purposeful strategy for lasting peace in Afghanistan.

The advisor said that Pakistan wanted regional cooperation and wanted to extend  transport, energy infrastructure through CPEC to Afghanistan, western Asian and central Asian countries.

He said Pakistan had laid down the foundations of Heart of Asia Conference with the collaboration of Turkey some six years ago.

He said SAARC is vital platform to boost regional relations and cancelling of SARRC summit in November which had to be held in Pakistan, shattered all efforts of regional cooperation.
