WEB DESK: Babar Azam delivered a stunning half-century to lead the Sydney Sixers to a commanding six-wicket triumph over the Melbourne Renegades in Thursday’s Big Bash League clash.
Azam remained unbeaten, scoring 58 off 46 balls, while Joel Davies provided solid support with an unbeaten 34.
Earlier, the Melbourne Renegades set a target of 164, losing nine wickets in the process. Key contributions came from Josh Brown with 43, Hasan Khan with 39, and Jake Fraser who added 38. However, wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed cheaply, managing just six runs.
