ISLAMABAD: Lieutenant General Thiab Saqer Abdulla Al Nuaimi, the Chief of Staff of Bahrain’s Defence Force, conducted an official visit to Pakistan’s Air Headquarters in Islamabad on Monday, where he held discussions with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, the Chief of Air Staff.
The discussions centered around areas of mutual interest and explored opportunities for deepening defense collaboration between Bahrain and Pakistan. Both officials reaffirmed their dedication to ongoing military engagement, focusing on joint training exercises and collaborative development to bolster their respective armed forces.
On his arrival, Lieutenant General Al Nuaimi was welcomed with a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by Pakistan Air Force personnel. The Air Chief welcomed the Bahraini delegation warmly, highlighting the long-standing religious and historical ties that underpin the strong military relationship between the two nations.
During their meeting, the Pakistan Air Chief underscored his commitment to expanding bilateral military cooperation, with particular attention to joint training programs and knowledge exchange initiatives. He emphasized that Pakistan highly values its strategic partnership with Bahrain, which is rooted in shared regional security interests and mutual dedication to stability.
The Bahraini official praised the professionalism and progress of the Pakistan Air Force, especially noting its advancements in indigenization and technological innovation. He expressed keen interest in learning from Pakistan’s expertise in multi-domain operations to enhance Bahrain’s operational capabilities, seeking insights into PAF’s comprehensive approach to modern warfare.
Additionally, the Bahraini delegation expressed a desire to initiate joint training programs for Bahraini pilots and engineers across all levels, aiming to foster skills transfer and operational synergy. The Chief of Staff also commended Pakistan’s efforts in indigenous defense development, particularly highlighting the role of the National Aerospace Science & Technology Park in driving innovation and building advanced indigenous systems.
Later, the Bahraini visitors toured key operational facilities, including the National ISR & Integrated Air Operations Centre and PAF Cyber Command, where they received briefings on Pakistan Air Force’s strategic capabilities and operational readiness.
